    Question

Are the ODBC drivers (Oracle client) required for running the Voyager Client Software on my PC?

    Answer

No.  The ODBC drivers are not required for running Voyager Client Software such as the Cataloging Module, the Reporter Module, or the Circulation Module.

Prepackaged Access Reports (Reports.mdb) and a Voyager "add-on" extension product called ImageServer both use an ODBC connection to communicate with the Voyager database and require the ODBC drivers.

If you are not using either Prepackaged Access Reports or ImageServer on a particular workstation, you do not need to install the ODBC drivers.

    Additional Information

NEW! Due to security concerns the FTP login/password system has been replaced by Ex Libris MFT.

See FTP Passwords for voyager, odbc, preview, and patch users for instructions on obtaining ODBC drivers.
