    Question

Receive "You are not authorized to receive this item for any location" when doing check-in or check history of serial in Voyager Acquisitions.

    Answer

Usually when this happens the Intended Locations associated with the line items for those components are no longer on the Selected side of the Locations tab in the Acq/Serials Security Profile that the operator in question belongs to.

The Intended Location can be viewed in Serials History in the Location field and on the line item on the PO and in the Copies/Funds tab.

    1. Go to: SYSADMIN > Security > Acquisitions/Serials Profiles > Locations and ensure the Intended Locations are included in the "Selected" area.
    2. Check also that in SYSADMIN > Acquisitions > Policy Definitions that the Intended Location has the Destination Location checkbox checked.

    Additional Information

After you make changes in SYSADMIN, you need to logout of Acquisitions and then log back in to make those changes effective.

Alternatively, you can change the Intended Location of the line item with the Edit Approved Line Item function, but be aware that changing Intended Location will cause the loss of the Serials Receipt history. You should first suppress any received issues from the OPAC; you won't be able to go back and suppress those issues once you've changed the intended location.
