Symptoms

Making a change to or duplicating a BulkImport rule created in a previous version causes Error "Database Error. Return Code -1400."
Changes are saved to the rule and are visible after.

Defect Status

Issue 16384-17681 is resolved for Voyager 8.1.2 and higher.

Replication steps

1. System Administration > Cataloging > Bulk import rules: before you've created any new rules after upgrading to 8.1.0, open a rule and edit it (this appears to happen more often with rules set to Load Bib/Auth Only).
2. Click Save.
3. Get a Database Error and click Details:

4. If you click OK, close the rule and reopen it, you will see that the changes were actually saved.

Workaround

If you create a new dummy rule and save it, or save a rule that does not trigger the Database Error the error stops happening for all rules.
