    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.1.1

    Description:
    Issue 16384-18482

    Modules: WebVoyage, SysAdmin
    Releases replicated in: 7.0.1 - 8.1.1
    Last version without bug: n/a

Expected results: Patrons can place holds on Lost items via WebVoyage when Allow On-Shelf OPAC Holds is checked.

Actual results: Patrons are not allowed to place holds via WebVoyage if an item has a lost status, is not charged and Allow On-Shelf OPAC Holds is enabled in SysAdmin.

Workflow implications: Behavior is inconsistent. Patrons unable to place holds when they should be able to.

    Replication steps:
In SysAdmin, make sure that under OPAC > Miscellaneous > Allow On-Shelf OPAC Holds is checked.
In Circulation, give an item charged to a patron a status of Lost – Library Applied, or find an item with a Lost – Library Applied or Lost – System Applied status that is still charged to a patron.
In WebVoyage, log in, find the item and place a hold on it.
    Hold request is successful.
Cancel hold and return to Circulation. Discharge the item and when asked whether to remove the Lost status, select No.
In WebVoyage again, find item and place a hold on it.
Hold request is unsuccessful, WebVoyage give message “No items are available for Hold requests.”

Other information: This is expected behavior when Allow On-Shelf OPAC Holds is not enabled in SysAdmin.

    Workaround: Place hold through Circulation.

    Resolution:
