    Remove WebVoyage session timeout pop-up?

    • Product: Voyager
    • Product Version: 8.2.2

    Question

    Is it possible to remove the pop-up that warns users the session is going to time out?

    Answer

    To remove the timeout warning without stopping the redirect from happening, you can comment out the relevant line of the script that calls the timeout. It's in the frameWork.xsl file at:
    /m1/voyager/xxxdb/tomcat/vwebv/context/vwebv/ui/[skin]/xsl/pageTools/frameWork.xsl

    Locate and comment out the following line:
    setTimeout("alert(msg)", timeOut);

    The commented section of the file may then look something like the following:

    <script type="text/javascript">
    var msg;
    var timeOut;
    function timedMsg(time, grace, txtMsg)
    {
    msg = txtMsg;
    timeOut = (time - grace) * 60000;
    <!-- Remove the "Your session will expire" pop-up
    setTimeout("alert(msg)", timeOut);
    -->
    }
    </script>

    This should remove the pop-up warning associated with timeout.grace without affecting the redirect that comes up as a result of timeout.time
