    Problem Symptoms

    1. Search and limit by location
    2. Item with location as Temporary Location not retrieved

    Cause

    Search is working as designed.

    Resolution

This is expected behavior. The limit by location limits based on the location in the 852b of the mfhd (holding) record. The limit is not based on the item record's Temporary Location.

    Additional Information

There is no functionality to limit OPAC searches by temporary location. To accomplish this, you would need to update the MFHD's location to reflect the temporary location.
