- Article Type: General
- Product: Voyager
- Product Version: 8.1.0
Description:
Bug Report Form for Issue 16384-5985
Module: Acquisitions
Release(s) replicated in: 7.0.3, 7.0.4, 7.1.0
Server Platform(s) affected: Solaris/all
PC O/S (if this is PC specific): n/a
Browser type & version (if WebVoyage): n/a
Loss of functionality from (previous version, if applicable): 7.0.2
<BUG:EXPECTED>
Expected Results: When appending a line item to an invoice, any fund/ledger edits you make in the Quick Line Item window should be saved when you click Save and the line item is appended.
</BUG:EXPECTED>
<BUG:ACTUAL>
Actual Results: While you do get to select a new ledger/fund in the quick line item window after appending, the selection you make is not retained when the line item is added to the invoice.
</BUG:ACTUAL>
Workflow Implications: Lots of extra steps for operators if you want to change information between the PO line item and the Invoice line item.
Replication steps:
In workflows, on the Line Items tab, enable QLI upon add
Create an invoice, filling in all required fields and saving
Click on Add Line Item from Order
Search by PO Number = ? (you’ll get a list of all POs in the db)
Click the Invoice Against any Vendor and Include Already Invoiced Items boxes (you’ll get more examples to work with)
Select an order and hit Display Line Items
Click in the box to the left of a line item to select it, then hit the Append button
The QLI-Invoice box pops up
Select a ledger/fund that are NOT the ledger/fund selected on the PO line item
Hit Save
Close out of the QLI-Invoice box
Note the ledger/fund information on your invoice line item – it will be whatever it initially was on the PO, not what you selected in the QLI-Invoice box
Other information:
In 7.1, you can hit Quick Line Item again and change the information there – this time your changes will be retained. In 7.0.3 and 7.0.4, you’ll have to go into the hybrid line item details in order for your change to be retained.
Resolution:
Fixed in the acq client for 8.1.0.
