360 Link: Implementation Checklist for 360 Link with Index-Enhanced Direct Linking (IEDL)

    • Product: 360 Link

What are the steps in 360 Link implementation? Is there a list of implementation items I can use to track our completion of work?

The below items are a checklist of steps to ensure an effective 360 Link with Index-Enhanced Direct Linking (IEDL) implementation. The checklist is also available in PDF.

    Implementation checklist:

    1. Your ProQuest 360 Link implementation specialist will:
    • Customize 360 Link pages for you. Basic customizations that ProQuest typically applies on your behalf are listed here.
    • Send you a 360 Link Implementation welcome email.
    • Familiarize you with the implementation training available at your convenience via recorded webinars.

    2. If your library holdings currently are not fully populated in your Intota or Client Center profile, begin (or continue) populating your holdings.

    3. Complete Target setup in your Intota or Client Center profile if you subscribe to CSA, Factiva, Gale, Get It Now (Copyright Clearance Center), OCLC, NewsBank or ProQuest.
    • Client Center users see setup information here.
    • Intota users see setup information here.

    4. Review your proxy server configurations

The necessary proxy configuration for some providers can differ for Index-Enhanced Direct Linking (IEDL) compared to the configuration typically used to access content from such providers. Review the list of IEDL providers and the proxy addresses needed for IEDL linking so that you can make any needed updates to your proxy configuration.

    5. Complete Referring Source setup which turns on "check for full text" links in whichever library resources you choose to set up.
