Description

How to create an URL for an ADAM digital object in the bibliographic record

Resolution

To create a URL field which will be a link to the digital object put the following line in xxx01/tab/expand_doc_bib_z403:

!                  2                  3     4      5

!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!-!!!!!!!!!!-!

# url                                 x space      X

In addition add the expand program to xxx01/tab/tab_expand:

!   1                   2                            3

!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!>

WEB-FULL   expand_doc_bib_z403            CONF=expand_doc_bib_z403,TAG=856

For above example the URL of the ADAM object will be populated in field 856 when using the expand WEB-FULL.
