Aleph 23: ue_01 process ends with: ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel

Description

This article is relevant for TWO_TASK systems only.

The log file of process ue_01 contains the following 

Oracle error: io_commit
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
Process ID: 5903
Sessi
***************************************************
* No ORACLE connection - process is terminated... *
***************************************************

Resolution

1. login as ssh user oracle 
2. cd $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin 
3. open the sqlnet.ora file (if is not there, then copy it from the $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/samples directory to $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin) 

4. remove everything from the sqlnet.ora file, copy these 2 lines to it: 
 

SQLNET.EXPIRE_TIME = 10 
USE_NS_PROBES_FOR_DCD=true 

5. save the file.
