    CJK and web services

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph
    • Product Version: 18.01

    Description:
We are working on CJK implementation and I need our to get the web services links to work with the vernacular Chinese, Japanese and Korea authors.

    E.g.: http://aleph.univ.edu/F?func=find-c&ccl_term=sys%3D004424674&local_base=mybase

Click on the vernacular author and the services page gives the "No Services Were Found" message.
If you click on the romanized/pinyin author entry, e.g., "Cai, Yizhong, 1924-", the services work fine.

What do I need to do to get services to work for the vernacular author entries? I've looked at tab_service and nothing I tried made things any better (only worse).

What do I need to do to get services to work for both the romanized author entry and the paired vernacular author?

    Resolution:
How do I get the web's tab_services to work with the AUTHC index? It currently looks like this:

    1#### www_f_service_find_acc AUT,ATH
    1#### www_f_service_scan_acc AUT,ATH

It still doesn't work when I add:

    1#### www_f_service_find_acc AUT,ATH,AUTC,ATHC
    1#### www_f_service_scan_acc AUT,ATH,AUTC,ATHC

    Solution (thanks to Harvard):

The expand_doc_bib_lng_cjk needs to be added to the tab_expand WEB-FULL section,
Then the AUTC etc entries in tab_service start to work in the Web OPAC.
