Item information lost in OPAC short list after binding for linked records

    • Article Type: General
    • Product: Aleph

    Problem Symptoms:
For records (e.g. articles) which have a LKR ITM link to a specific item (volume, year, issue) from the serials record the according information in Opac short list disappears when the item is bound together and the issue information "gets lost".

    Example:
Serial record has 4 items for Volume 2 - Year 2012 and issue number 1 to 4

Article record is linked to item 2.2012,3 by adding the following information to LKR field:
    LKR$$aITM$$b1234567$$lxxx50$$v2$$y2012$$i3

When the items are bound the item is no longer displayed in the OPAC short list.

    Cause:
    Configuration

    Resolution:
This problem can be solved by setting parameter MATCH-Z30-ISSBD in xxx01/tab/tab100:

    !# MATCH-Z30-ISSBD
    !# Values:Y N Default: N
!# Type: Text; Max Length: 01
    !# tab100 of library: Yes; tab100_<server_type>: No.
    !
! Y = the system will ignore all analytical links except the ones to
! Z30-ENUMERATION-A (volume) and Z30-CHRONOLOGICAL-I (year) for the display
! of bound items (Z30-MATERIAL=ISSBD), which are linked to the bib-record
! via item link (LKR type ANA and ITM).
