Question
Does Aleph allow for leading zeros in the patron barcode? Should they be discarded when planning a PLIF load?

Answer
If the ID card which the patron is carrying contains leading zeros, those zeroes *must* be included in the barcode as it's loaded into Aleph.

Additional Info
Leading zeros can be omitted in searching for xxx01, xxx10, xxx30, etc., doc records -- although the search also works when the leading zeros are included.
