External Resource addition to metadata editor / MD-editor

Question

How can I add a new external resource to search in the metadata editor?

Answer

ONE
Under the “resource management configuration menu > search configuration > External Search Resources” see if the desired resource is already available in the “External Resource List”.
If it is not then add it via the “Add External Resource” button.

TWO
Under the “resource management configuration menu > search configuration > External search profile” click “Add External Search profile”
If it is not then add it via the “Add External Resource” button.
After filling in “Name” and “Description” and clicking “Next” select your desired “Resource Name” on the button of the screen then click “:add to selection”. Multiple resources may be added to one profile

THREE
Click “Save” and you are ready to use the new profile and resource.
