    Problem Symptoms

The Claim list shows journal titles whose items have been received; their arrival date exists in the item record

    Cause

These two POL parameters cause Alma to think Claim time is due:

    • The "Expected Receipt Date" was either in the very past or was blank
    • The "Subscription interval" was not synchronized with the serial's periodicity (e.g. it was set to 60 instead of 360 for an annual)

Secondly, items were not received in the Receive workbench

    Resolution

First, ensure that items are received via the Receive workbench

Secondly, update the above fields in the PO Line record

    Additional Information

The expected date can be updated directly from the Claim workbench:

    • Select the Alma menu > Claim (under: Acquisition)
    • Use the "Find" button to retrieve the POL
    • Select the button "Change Expected Date"
