    This page describes how to configure resources on the research hub in Esploro. Resources in Esploro provide a way to showcase institutional facilities, equipment, specialists, etc. For information on working with resources in Esploro, see here.
    For configuring resources on the portal see here.

    The Resources feature is for Esploro Advanced Edition customers.

    Configuring Resource Types

    The resource types appear in the drop down when adding resources (see Adding Resources). 
    To configure the resource types navigate to Configuration > Research Administration > Resource Types.

    Resource Types

    The following describes the actions you can perform when configuring resource types:

    • To enable a resource type, toggle the slider in the Enabled column.
    • To move a resource type up or down in the list, use the Move Up/Move Down arrows.
    • To update the description for a resource type, update the value in the Description field.
    • To set a type as the default value, enable the Default Value setting.
    • To add a new type, select Add Row and enter the information. 
    • To delete a resource type, select Delete from the row actions menu.

    Configuring Resource Identifier Types

    The resource identifier types appear in the drop down when adding identifiers for a resource (see Resource Additional Identifiers). 
    To configure the resource identifier types navigate to Configuration > Research Administration > Resource Identifier Types.

    The following describes the actions you can perform when configuring resource identifier types:

    • To enable a resource identifier type, toggle the slider in the Enabled column.
    • To move a resource identifier type up or down in the list, use the Move Up/Move Down arrows.
    • To update the description for a resource identifier type, update the value in the Description field.
    • To set a resource identifier type as the default value, enable the Default Value setting.
    • To add a new resource identifier type, select Add Row and enter the information. 
    • To delete a resource identifier type, select Delete from the row actions menu.

    The resource description types appear in the drop down list when adding a description to a resource (see Resource Descriptions). 
    To configure the resource description types navigate to Configuration > Research Administration > Resource Description Types.

    The following describes the actions you can perform when configuring resource description types:

    • To enable a resource description type, toggle the slider in the Enabled column.
    • To move a resource description type up or down in the list, use the Move Up/Move Down arrows.
    • To update the description for a resource description type, update the value in the Description field.
    • To set a resource description type as the default value, enable the Default Value setting.
    • To add a new resource description type, select Add Row and enter the information. 
    • To delete a resource type, select Delete from the row actions menu.

    The resource usage notes types appear in the drop down when adding resource usage notes (see Resource Usage Notes).

    To configure the resource usage notes types navigate to Configuration > Research Administration > Resource Usage Notes Types.

    • To enable a resource usage note type, toggle the slider in the Enabled column.
    • To move a resource usage note type up or down in the list, use the Move Up/Move Down arrows.
    • To update the description for a resource usage note type, update the value in the Description field.
    • To set a resource usage note type as the default value, enable the Default Value setting.
    • To add a new resource usage note type, select Add Row and enter the information. 
    • To delete a resource usage note type, select Delete from the row actions menu.

    Configuring Resource Additional Fields

    The resource additional fields appear in the drop down when adding resource additional fields (see Resource Addtiional Fields)

    To configure the resource usage notes types navigate to Configuration > Research Administration > Resource Additional Fields.

    The following describes the actions you can perform when configuring resource additional fields:

    • To enable a resource additional field, toggle the slider in the Enabled column.
    • To move a resource additional field up or down in the list, use the Move Up/Move Down arrows.

    • To set a resource additional field as the default value, enable the Default Value setting.
    • To add a new resource additional field, select Add Row and enter the information. 
    • To delete a resource additional field, select Delete from the row actions menu.

    The resource attribute fields appear in the drop down when adding resource attributes (see here).

    To configure the resource attributes navigate to Configuration > Research Administration > Resource Attributes.
