Campus Engagement Index of Materials

The resources below are available to assist you with promotion of Leganto and are grouped into toolkits for specific promotional scenarios and opportunities. All materials have been developed assuming an audience of an instructor or student, as applicable, but may be also suitable for partners or librarians. Training and other documentation for Leganto for librarians is available in other areas of the Knowledge Center.

As you get started we suggest you review the Adoption Guide and develop a timeline for your outreach activities. Please reach out to your Campus Engagement Manager if you need further guidance on selection of resources or to obtain a copy of the Guide. We can also assist with sharing examples of materials that have been adopted by other customers. Available examples include, but are not limited to: LibGuides; outlines for instructors; newsletters; posters; and advertisements used in campus publications and online.

Recruiting for a Pilot

Liaison Librarian Toolkit

Add Citations via RIS File Import Import a Research Information Systems (RIS) file into Leganto, to add its citations to your reading list. You can import either directly into the list, or into the My Collection section, from where citations can be added to any of your lists. Add Citations from a Citation Manager You can easily add citations to your reading list from your citation manager, such as RefWorks or Zotero. https://tinyurl.com/Citation-Manager Video
Viewing and Editing Reading List Citations View and edit the details of your reading list citations. You can place requests (such as digitization) to library staff regarding an item, write public notes for students, add a due date for reading the item, etc. https://tinyurl.com/ViewAnnotateCitations Video
Send Reading List to the Library for Processing Once you've finished compiling a reading list, send it to the library staff for processing, including handling of any requests you may have placed on items. https://tinyurl.com/SendToLibrary Video
Publish Reading List for Students Publish your reading list to make it available for students, and optionally share it with guests. You can also follow reading lists published by others for "all students.” https://tinyurl.com/PublishForStudents Video
Manage Reading List Collaborators Add your colleagues and fellow instructors as reading list collaborators, allowing them to add and edit citations. You can also add them as owners to your list, allowing them to manage collaborators as well. https://tinyurl.com/ManagingCollaborators Video
Students Interaction in a Reading List Leganto encourages social interaction regarding the course reading. Students can like items, post comments in the discussion thread, mark items as read, etc. As the reading list owner, you can moderate discussions. Students can update their profile including importing Facebook profile details. My Collection in Leganto My Collection is an area in Leganto where you can store citations for future use. This lets you manage your citations, add them to your reading lists, and suggest them for other reading lists. https://tinyurl.com/My-Collection-in-Leganto Video
View Student Usage Reports LegantoStudent Usage Reports allow you to gague the effectiveness of your reading lists. Reports give you a complete analysis of student activities such as viewing the full text of citations, liking, commenting, and marking as read. Reports are presented as an overview or a weekly breakdown. You can view a report across lists or drill down to view the report on the section, citation, or citation type level.
