This page provides a monthly breakdown of planned NDE UI releases, highlighting upcoming features and enhancements through the end of 2025. It is designed to offer transparency, helping you track feature availability and plan your NDE evaluation and adoption accordingly.

This page will elaborate on known issues and provide status updates as they are resolved, in addition to the release plan.

Monthly Release Plan

The release plan includes additional functionalities for the last half of this year, including new features (marked as New), delivery of existing Primo VE functionalities, and cross-product integrations (such as Leganto, Rapido, and so forth).

The scheduled release is subject to change based on the stability of the feature.

Monthly Release Plan (Consortia-Related)

With the General Release, any consortium member can start testing the NDE UI like any other institution. Members will see the following elements of search scopes: consortia and cross-institution search scopes, CDI, local data and external sources. In addition, they will see cross-institution facets.

Below is a breakdown of features available after the General Release, according to the monthly release schedule.

Accessibility Plan

In parallel with the ongoing compliance work for the existing Primo VE UI and its accessibility roadmap, two rounds of audits based on WCAG 2.2 criteria are planned for the NDE UI in 2025 to ensure accessibility at the A and AA levels:

The initial round of external accessibility auditing in April included the NDE functionality released in Primo VE's May release. The NDE UI's accessibility status is outlined in the VPAT for the NDE UI. Institutions participating in the May Managed General Release can review the VPAT and be assured that the identified issues will be addressed and re-evaluated in the next audit.
The second round of auditing will take place in Q3 2025 to assess all resolved issues from the first audit and evaluate additional pages developed post-general availability. Following the second assessment, the VPAT for the NDE UI will be updated to reflect the revised accessibility status.

List of Known Issues

Full Record Display	Clicking on a Hypertext link doesn't show the search summary on the top - will be solved in July Integration with Syndetics - still under implementation phase
Duplicate view to NDE	Duplicate for NDE view - all records actions are activated with no relation to the source view setup - this will be fixed in August
Search Scopes	Corrupted display when only one search scope is defined with multiple tabs inside - Will be fixed in August.
Rapido	Issues with the Pickup anywhere dropdown in request tile Rapido request tiles are displayed only after refresh in some cases
Login	When only 1 login method is configured - the user should automatically be directed to the login system - this will be fixed in July
Saved Records	When no record is found when searching in Saved Records, there is no option to go back to your saved records. Records that are no longer indexed in Primo VE appear in Saved Records but are displayed as blank. This will be fixed by removing them from the display. Missing tooltip when removing a label. The deep link of saved records does not retain the sorting. Sorting incorrectly appears for a single saved record. Missing translation for the “Apply” button when adding a label. No option to navigate to previous/next records within the saved records.
Collection Discovery	Slow loading of collections/items thumbnails - will be solved in August Filters are not displayed in some cases - Should be fixed for July
Journal Search	Choosing category – there is no indication for the chosen category - will be solved in August Choosing category – the search bar filled with the term 'dbcategory' - will be solved in August When scrolling in the categories tree when there is lots of categories expanded - the UI is corrupted Autocomplete issues Icon on the home page is cut - will be solved in August Missing URL parameters when choosing a category/letters
