Go VE: Availability and Primo VE Topologies

The following table lists the commonly used topologies that are currently used in Alma-Primo environments, the corresponding Primo VE topologies after initiating the Go VE process, and the projected availability date of Go VE. For each of the Primo VE topologies, each Alma institution will have a single Primo VE institution.

If you have a different topology or configuration from the ones listed below, contact us at Go_VE@exlibrisgroup.com.

    Sandbox Environment

On the projected dates listed in the table above, the Go VE process will be added to your Alma production environment, where you will also configure your data for Primo VE after the Enablement step. After going live, we will enable your sandbox environment based on your selected Sandbox type:

    • Standard Sandbox – Primo VE will be enabled by Ex Libris as part of the Go Live procedure.

    • Premium Sandbox – Primo VE will be cloned from production as part of the Alma refresh process. For more details about the refresh timeline and process, see Primo VE Sandbox.

Alma and Primo VE should have the same sandbox types, for example, if you have an Alma premium sandbox, you must also have a Primo VE premium sandbox. If you currently have different sandbox types in Primo and Alma, please contact us at GO_VE@exlibrisgroup.com.
