Main Features
New Partner Institution and Library Fields in Request APIs
CERV Enhancement (ID#1269) URM-316510Rapido Lending and Borrowing Request APIs have been enhanced to include borrowing and lending institution and library codes, enabling improved visibility of partner information for API-based integrations. The new fields are available in borrowing and lending request responses, as well as in Rapido partner records (read-only), and support both Rapido and Rapid workflows. The following fields have been added:

Enable Multiple Off-Times Lending Periods
June 2026 Rapido URM-235878
Rapido now supports defining multiple lending off-time periods per resource sharing library. Libraries can add, edit and manage multiple planned closure periods instead of being limited to a single inactive date range. Temporary Inactive Date Ranges are displayed as a list and saved in bulk using a new Save action. Overlapping date ranges are not allowed, and libraries remain available for selection even if they already have defined off-times. This allows libraries to plan ahead and manage scheduled closures more flexibly.
Ability to Hide the Blank Form
Idea ExchangeRapido now supports hiding the Blank ILL Request link from the top menu in PrimoVE and NDE based on user group configuration. This extends the existing option to hide the blank request form from search results, allowing libraries to control visibility. When configured, the link is hidden for selected user groups and remains visible to others. The configuration for non-logged-in users has also been updated to support hiding this link, providing more consistent control over blank form access.
Automated OCR Processing

Automated OCR processing is now applied to PDFs shipped through the API and automated job (Automatically Ship Rapido Digital Requests (default Inactive) for files sent to ISO partners, ensuring files delivered to borrowers are machine‑readable and easier to use.

The CCC Get It Now Cloud App has been removed from Rapido following the discontinuation of the Get It Now article delivery service. A message has been added to the Cloud App Center: CCC has announced that the Get It Now article delivery service will be discontinued on June 30, 2026. The Rapido Get It Now cloud app will be removed on June 7, 2026. Please update any workflows that rely on this integration. - June 2026 Rapido RAPID-1529
RapidR routing algorithm prioritizes print holdings over electronic formats. Returnable requests are routed to lenders with eBook holdings only when no print lenders are available.
