All text - This option allows you to do a keyword-based search to generate results for funding opportunities containing specific words.
Discipline - Funding opportunities in *Research Professional have been organised into a taxonomy tree of disciplines containing several thousand terms from "Arts & Humanities" down to "Museum Architecture" or "Engineering" down to "Mining Safety". You can carry out a free-text search to see suggested disciplines to choose from or you can browse through the taxonomy to find relevant disciplines.

Closing date - This option allows you to refine a search by closing date to help manage your timeline. Whether you are interested in funding opportunities that close in the next fortnight, or after a certain date, you can specify here.
Award amount - This option allows you to search for funding opportunities that are worth a specific amount. Depending on what career level you are at, you might wish to look for funding that is worth more or less.
The following criteria are accessible via the 'More Options' drop-down menu.

However, if you wanted to refine this further, perhaps to ensure that a research partner at a foreign institution is also eligible for any given funding opportunity, then this option will allow you to filter searches according to the nationality of applicant institution.
Nationality of researcher - This option allows you to filter searches according to nationality criterions.
Applicant type - This option allows you to search for opportunities available to one or more applicant types.
Career stage - This option allows you to search for opportunities open to researchers at a specific stage of their career.
