Question

In search results for our Institutional Repository (IR) records, the Preview section has a "Source" link to the IR home page which includes an unneeded proxy URL. How do I keep the link but remove the proxy URL?

Answer

On the Client Center Database Details page for this database, check the "Library Proxy" checkbox that reads "Omit proxy from this database" as shown in the screenshot below. You can get to this page by clicking on the Name of the database anywhere in the Client Center, and then you can edit it by clicking the Edit button near the upper right corner.

The proxy URL is set for all databases in the Library Settings>Library URLs section of the Client Center, see this article: Library Settings. As described above, it can be removed manually for any single database that does not need it.
