    Question

How do I export a single MARC record from Voyager using only the Cataloging client?

    Answer

    1. In the Cataloging client, locate the record to be exported.
    2. Click File > Save As and select file location & name if not already set in Preferences.
    3. Cataloging will save the file in MARC21 UTF-8 format with a file extension that pertains to the record type - e.g. *.bib for Bibliographic record.

    Additional Information

Voyager save file extensions such as *.bib are in MARC21 format and are interchangeable with the *.mrc file extension.

Renaming files to the *.mrc extension after saving from Voyager may simplify importing these files to other applications.
