    • Product Version: 8.1.0

    Problem Symptoms

    • Keywords in brief bibliographic records still appear in keyword index after brief bibs are overlaid by full bibs.
    • Searching for words that are no longer in bib records' MARC fields, such as requesting professors' names, still brings up results
    • Sizes of files on system indicate need for keyword regen.

    Cause

Keywords retained in index even though keywords are no longer in the record.

    Resolution

    Keyword regen needed.

    Additional Information

Contact Voyager Support to schedule keyword regen, or if Voyager system is 8.1.0 or later use the UTIL menu to run keyword regen. See Who can run a keyword regen?
