    Question

I need to reload records that were deleted.  How can I create an interleaved file from the deleted records files?

    Answer

There is no tool in Voyager that will allow you to create an interleaved file using both the deleted.mfhd.marc and deleted.bib.marc files.  You can reload the deleted.bib.marc file using the appropriate Bulk Import rule and Duplicate Detection settings. When you load the deleted.bib.marc file you can use a Rule that will create a single MFHD using the Mapping tab to specify the Location.

Another option for creating the MFHDs would be to use Prebulk to create an interleaved file using your deleted BIB records as the source file. MarcEdit or a similar third-party product could be used to populate the necessary fields in the source file that would then be utilized by Prebulk to build the MFHD record in the interleaved file.
