What do I need to import MARC format records from a vendor file into the Voyager catalog?

Answer

1. Obtain your import file from the vendor.  Determine your file's Character Set (usually available from the vendor)
2. Create a Duplicate Detection Profile in SYSADMIN > Cataloging > Bibliographic Duplicate Detection Profiles (See the System Administration User's Guide)
3. Create a Bulk Import Rule in SYSADMIN > Cataloging > Bulk Import Rules (See the System Administration User's Guide)
4. Import your records by running the Pbulkimport command on the server or by using the WebAdmin Server Utilities (See the Technical User's Guide)
