Main Features

Temporarily Disable Lending for Different Formats

Lenders now have the ability to selectively disable specific lending services rather than disabling all services. Previously, lenders could only disable all lending operations at once. Now they can decide whether to disable Everything or just certain types, temporarily disable Physical lending while keeping digital services active, or temporarily disable Digital from Physical lending while continuing physical shipping or electronic lending.

This provides lenders with more flexibility to handle temporary disruptions without having to fully stop their lending services.

Additional Enhancements

The field Rapido Manual Request has been added to the Rapido Attributes folder in the Lending Request (Resource Sharing) and Borrowing Request (Resource Sharing) Subject Areas. This field indicates when staff manually send a request to a Rapido partner under Rapido pod terms. It is useful for tracking frequency overall, by partner, or in comparison to mediated/unmediated requests.

New Fields have been added to both borrowing and lending requests.
- Tracking Number field for communicating a value to partners is now available in the request attributes section of borrowing and lending requests.
- VAT and Total Cost fields; Rapido requests now include a VAT field and an automatically calculated Total Cost field within the request cost section.
- Tracking number and VAT fields are also available in the borrowing and lending APIs.
- Currency handling within the Request Cost section can now reflect the partner's currency. Currently, the currency reflected in Request Cost is defined in Configuration Menu > Acquisitions > General > Currency Subset. To have the request cost reflect in the partner's currency, configure (Configuration > Fulfillment > General > Other Settings) rs_use_partner_currency to true. The default value is false. If rs_use_partner_currency is set to true and the request cost field is populated, the currency value changes to reflect the value of the currency defined on the General Information tab of the partner (Fulfillment > Resource Sharing > Partners).

For libraries that have enabled the Next Discovery Experience (NDE), there is now the option to completely hide the Get it from other locations section when display logic rules use hide service, and no results with offers are available. This enhancement is part of ongoing development focused on NDE.

In some cases, when selecting the Home Delivery option, the Offer Request button remained disabled. This was fixed.

When check_patron_duplicate_borrowing_requests parameter is enabled, the create date is now ignored, allowing the system to detect and prevent duplicate requests regardless of their creation timestamps.
