    Where can I find answers to various questions about the Summon service's Administration Console?

    When setting up your Summon service using the Administration Console, you may have questions. This document will answer many of the typical questions about the Settings page and the Usage page.

    Settings

    Can we change the language used on the Settings page?
    No, not in the first release. The ability to change the language on the Settings page will be included in a future release of the Client Administration tool.
    Can we change the colors, and look and feel, of our Summon site?
    No, not in the first release. The ability to change colors will be included in a future release of the Client Administration tool.
    What kinds of customizations can we make in the Summon Administration Console?
    Many features can be customized in the Summon Administration Console. Basic and advanced search pages can be customized. Several features like Languages, Authentication, Facets, Refinements Autocomplete and Search Result Filters can be enabled and disabled. For more information, see the Administration Console Settings.
    Do you have a video that we could watch to see some of the customizations that we can make?

    How can we learn more about Settings?

    Usage

    Can we change the language used on the Usage page?
    Yes, the language used on the Usage page can be changed using the Preferences setting at the top of the Usage page.
    What does the Usage tool track?
    The Usage tool tracks the usage of Summon itself, not the data usage. For usage of full text, the vendor to whom you subscribe is still the best way to access these reports.
    How far back in time can we go with the reports?
    The Usage tool will report on Summon usage all the way back to August 2009 for all clients.
    How recent is the data?
    Usage data will be up-to-date as of the past 24 hours.
    What time zone is displayed in Summon usage reports?
    U.S. Pacific Time (PT)
    Can we export the data (for example, into an Excel file)?
